Overwhelmed by the details of your project? Hesitating to make a decision because you're not sure what is best for you? Many people donít realize how much planning and how many decisions will be required for their project. You don't have time to become an expert in every aspect of the project so you must rely on industry professionals and trades people for guidance. One of the most important decisions you will make is who to work with. When choosing your contractor or design firm it is imperative you choose the people who will put your interests first.
That is exactly how we felt when we built our home years ago. And that is why we do business the way we do. We ask questions and we listen. We design and problem solve for you. Itís your needs that drive the suggestions we make and the solutions we offer. If there is more than one way to accomplish something, all options are laid out for you and explained with the pros and cons. With our help making decisions is easy because you are able to look at all your options.
Cabinets 101: The foundation of making good decisions is being informed. Because the kitchen is one of the most expensive rooms in your home it makes sense to be an informed consumer. Our job is to help you understand the features and benefits of the cabinet products we offer compared to other products in the market place.
The custom cabinet manufacturers that we represent are unique. Their business philosophy is quality first. Statements like "They donít make things like they used to" does not apply at America's Best Cabinets, Inc.. Our cabinet makers never stop improving, yet understand our customerís need for value. To answer that need, they offer a Good, Better and Best approach to construction methods and pricing.
We will take the time to explain the cabinet lines we offer, how they differ from one another in construction, options and price so that you can decide what is important to you. Many people start the process by bringing in magazine pictures to show us what they like. This helps to make a selection of style or design theme, and is an important starting point.
No Obligation Estimate: After you have reviewed our cabinet lines and selected the product that best meets your needs, we move on to the options selection. Your door selection, wood species, frame style, and finish are the basis for our cost estimate. Together with the options you select, your accurate room dimensions and preliminary appliance selections, we will provide a written estimate for your project. We are frequently asked how much our cabinets cost by linear foot. The final price is relative to so many factors that we have never found any two projects to price out the same per foot. Rather than make a good guess (which is what a lineal foot cost is) we prefer to provide an accurate estimate based on your actual preferences & requirements. That way we feel you are able to make an educated decision. Our estimate is provided at no cost or obligation to you.
Design: Once you are ready to move forward with your project, we begin the design phase. This step will require several meetings to finalize a design that meets your needs and personal style. Your individual needs and schedule will dictate the length of time that will be required to complete the design. We are committed to working with you until the design is everything you want and need. Our design service includes planning and consultation, CAD layouts, 3D renderings, hand drawings, field measurements, and appliance consultation. We follow recommended guidelines established by the National Kitchen and Bath Association for a safe and functional result. If you are working with a General Contractor or Interior Designer you are welcome to bring them in to participate in the plans.
Placing the Order: The most important step Ė the final verification of your design including room dimensions, appliances, flooring and lighting selection must be made, and we are ready to move ahead! From this point in time the normal delivery time is 8 weeks for semi-custom cabinets and 10-12 weeks for fully custom cabinets. The delivery schedule does fluctuate based on seasonal demand. It is always best to allow for extra time if possible.
Production: Todayís manufacturing process differs greatly from the past. In keeping with the Amish tradition of quality workmanship, our cabinet makers use first quality materials and construction methods combined with todayís technologies to improve upon the past. Upon acceptance of your order, they prepare mechanical drawings of the cabinets to verify the order. After the drawings have been approved, they begin to build your cabinets. During the production process from order entry through the finishing process in a "state of the art" facility we coordinate your cabinet order, insuring that your order stays on schedule.
